Since Formal/Traditional Family dining rooms are separate from the rest of the home, they are a great place to add a pop of color with paint or wallpaper without sacrificing the neutrality of the rest of your home and the dining room is naturally cut off from the kitchen and the rest of the home. This creates a nice private space.
Modern dining spaces are just as classy and alluring as traditional dining rooms, but a little more approachable.
Used to joint families with a medium-large kitchen
In an eclectic / Craftsman dining room, you are not limited to one style of dining table or chair or even color scheme for that matter. You could pair a rustic wood dining table with molded plastic Eames chairs, iconic of Mid-Century Modern style.
Many mid–century dining rooms have a chestnut wood table for starters. They often have simple side chairs that are designed according to the minimalist style of the 1950s and 60s. Beyond that, you can play with colors associated with mid–century modern decor like teal, mustard yellow, and deep orange or red.
